Creating a Matter Financial Statement
To create a Matter Financial Statement:
- In a Matter, in the Invoices tab, select Actions, the select Financial Statement.
- Select a Date From (defaults to the Matter's opening date) and Date To for the period the statement will cover, enter a Document Title, and select a Document Template for the report.
For more information on how to set a Document Template, view the Matter Financial Statement Template section of this article below. - When all fields are filled, select Create; the PDF will automatically open.
Please note, the Matter Financial Statement will also automatically save to the Matter's Documents.
You can select the Documents tab on a Matter to view the Financial Statement.
Matter Financial Statement Template
You can create and upload a Matter Financial Statement template to mattero; this will decide the layout, information included, and overall presentation for all Matter Financial Statements you generate and export via mattero.
Download the Standard Matter Financial Statement template to use as a basis for your template.
You can add or change fields as needed to configure what is presented in your Matter Financial Statement. View the Edit Document Templates for more information on this process.
Please note, if you are editing the Standard Matter Financial Statement, do not delete or alter the following code from the Statement table:
<<foreach [c in Transactions]>>
and:
<</foreach -greedy>>
as this will cause the template to load incorrectly.
When all changes have been made to your template, view the Upload Files as Document Templates article for information on how to upload to mattero.
