Purchasing a Subscription
If you have created a trial account with mattero, you will be required to purchase a mattero Subscription Package at the end of your trial period to continue using mattero.
To purchase a Subscription Package:
- On the sidebar, select System (
).
- Under Subscription and Marketplace, select Account and Billing.
Alternatively, select the Subscribe link from the bottom of any page in mattero.
- Choose a package and select Select Plan.
Please note, selecting either Billed Monthly or Billed Annually may offer discounted pricing. It is recommended you consider both Monthly and Annual options before making a decision.
- Enter a Name to appear on the Invoice; this defaults to the name of your organisation, or the person making the purchase if there is no organisation name (but can also be manually entered).
Enter an ABN; this defaults to your organisation's ABN, but will be left blank if no ABN has been recorded (and can be manually entered).
Select a Quantity of Licences (the number of people in your organisation using mattero).
The Contact Name, Phone, and Email defaults to the details of the person making the purchase; select the Edit icon to change these details.
Please note, this will navigate away from the subscription page to your User Profile (where you can edit your details). The Contact Name, Phone, and Email details cannot be edited on the subscription page. - When all details are confirmed, select Continue to Payment.
- Payment is made via Stripe, a secure payment platform; on the Stripe page, enter your payment details and billing address. (Your credit card details will not be stored in mattero, only Stripe; mattero cannot access your credit card details.)
Please note, if you enter an Australian billing address, GST will be applied to the purchase. A breakdown of your total payment is displayed on the left-hand side.
When all details are entered, select Subscribe.
- A notification will display when your payment is processed; select OK to close this message.
- You will be directed to the Account page, which displays a summary of your subscription.
For information on how to change your subscription plan or licence quantities, view the "Managing Your Subscription Package" section of this article.
Managing Features
You can activate or deactivate a number of Features within mattero. Hiding Features prevents your Users from accessing them, or storing certain types of data (such as Trust transactions and Invoice records) in mattero.
Please note, if you have chosen a Starter or Essentials subscription for your organisation, some Features will be automatically deactivated, and can only be activated by upgrading to a higher Subscription Package.
To manage your features:
- On the sidebar, select System (
).
- Under Subscription and Marketplace, select Manage Features.
- Select or deselect your available Features as needed, and select Save to implement your changes.
Managing Your Subscription Package
You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription, and increase or decrease the quantity of Licences (the number of people in your organisation using mattero) for your Subscription Package, at any time.
Please note, if you downgrade your subscription and/or decrease your quantity of Licences, a refund will not be supplied for the amount you have paid for the higher Subscription Package and/or quantity you originally chose.
Instead, the difference between your original payment and your new payment amount will be credited on your next payment.
Alternatively, if you upgrade your subscription and/or increase your quantity of Licences, a new payment will be charged to your account to cover the additional cost of the higher Subscription Package and/or increased quantity.
To manage your Subscription Package:
- On the sidebar, select System (
).
- Under Subscription and Marketplace, select Account and Billing.
- The Account page displays a summary of your Subscription Package's details; select Change Plan to manage your Subscription Package, or select Change Quantity to manage your Licences.
- If Change Plan is selected, select either Upgrade or Downgrade on a new Subscription Package.
- A window will open detailing the new amount due to be paid to mattero, or the amount you will be credited from mattero; review the pricing and select Confirm to finalise the upgrade or downgrade.
Please note, the change will go into affect for all your mattero Users immediately.
- If Change Quantity is selected, select either the Increase or Decrease icons in the window that opens; the window will automatically update to display the new amount due to be paid to mattero, or the amount you will be credited from mattero.
Review the pricing and select Confirm.
Subscription Package Issues
If you have more Users than Licences, or have not allocated a Licence to a User, or are using mattero without a Licence allocated to your own account, you will need to resolve these issues.
Below are processes for dealing with each of these situations.
More Users than Licences
If you have more Users than Licences, you will need to purchase more Licences for your Subscription Package.
To resolve this issue:
- On the sidebar, select System (
).
- Under Subscription and Marketplace, select Account and Billing.
Alternatively, select the Manage Your Subscription link from the bottom of any page in mattero.
- In the Account page, a warning message will display; select the Buy Licences button, then follow the process outlined in Step 6 of the "Managing Your Subscription Package" section of this article.
Licence not allocated to User
If a User has been invited to mattero, but has not been allocated a Licence, a Licence will need to be allocated to them.
To resolve this issue:
- On the sidebar, select System (
).
- Under Subscription and Marketplace, select Account and Billing.
- On the Account page, a warning message will display; select Allocate Licences.
- This opens the User Accounts page; select Allocate a Licence for an account.
- A confirmation window will open; select Yes.
You have not been allocated a Licence
If you have been invited to mattero, but have not been allocated a Licence, you will need to allocate a Licence to yourself.
Please note, depending on your level of access, you may not be able to allocate a Licence to yourself. (View the Create, Assign, and Delete Security Roles article for more information.)
If so, your organisation's administrator will need to assign a Licence to you. View the "Licence not allocated to User" process above for more information.
To resolve this issue:
- On the sidebar, select System (
).
- Under Users, select User Accounts.
Alternatively, select the User Accounts link from the bottom of any page in mattero.
- In the User Accounts page, select Allocate a Licence for your account.
- A confirmation window will open; select Yes.
