Document FAQs
Below are a number of frequently asked questions surrounding Documents.
If you have any questions you'd like to see as an FAQ, you can consult our Community section or contact mattero via the Submit a Request page.
Can I restore a Document I deleted from mattero?
Once a Document is deleted from mattero, you cannot restore it. If you wish to delete a Document from your mattero account, we recommend saving a copy to your device prior to the deletion.
Why is there a red cross on my merged PDF Document?
A red cross is displayed when an image in an unsupported format is included in a document included in the merged PDF. Alternatively, the image file may have been corrupted prior to the merge.
To resolve this, mattero recommends removing the original image from the file you wish to merge, and reattaching the image as a PNG file.
Why does the document say it is in "Protected View"?
This is a common Microsoft setting when editing documents in a Microsoft program (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Select the Enable Editing button that appears in the document to disable Protected View. The document in question should no longer open in Protected View.
It is also possible to change your overall Protected View settings; view the "I want to change my Protected View settings" section of Microsoft's What is Protected View article for more information.
Please note, it is recommended you consult with your organisation's IT department and security requirements before changing your Protected View settings.
