Create Users and Invite Your Team to mattero
Once you have configured your mattero settings and requirements, you can create User accounts for the members of your organisation, then invite them to join mattero.
Users are people within your organisation that can access mattero, and view and edit Matters, Documents, Tasks and more.
A User can be created from an existing Contact in mattero, or created as a new Contact in mattero when being made a User.
Please note, you will need to allocate a licence to your Users; view the "Licence not allocated to User" section of the Subscription Packages article for more information.

Creating a User Account
To create a User in mattero:
- On the sidebar, select System (
).
- Under Users, select User Accounts.
- The User Accounts page shows all current Users in your organisation, as well as their Login method, Licence Status, and general Status.

To create a User, select Create User.
- In the window that opens, select either Create User for an Existing Contact, or Create User for a New Contact.
If Create User for an Existing Contact is selected, enter a Contact's name and select them from the dropdown list that appears.
If Create User for a New Contact is selected, enter their First Name and Last Name.
When all details are entered, select OK.
Inviting your Team to mattero
To invite a User to mattero:
- On the sidebar, select System (
).
- Under Users, select User Accounts.
- Select Invite User.
- Enter the User's email address in the Email Address field, then select Send Email to send an email invite via mattero, or select the Copy icon to copy the web address for the new User and send this link via your preferred messaging service.
Please note, if the User has an email associated with their account, the Email Address field will automatically fill; however, this can still be manually edited to a different address as needed.
Further, it is strongly recommended you check the email address before inviting a User.
If a User's profile has been created with an incorrect email address, the User will be required to first create their account with the incorrect address, and then resolve this by linking either a Microsoft or Google account to mattero.

- If Send Email is selected, the User will receive an invite from mattero; they will need to select Set Up Account to proceed.
- The User will need to enter their Email and set a Password, and agree to mattero's terms and conditions and privacy policy.
Alternatively, they can also select the Microsoft or Google icons to register with these accounts, however agreeing to mattero's terms and conditions and privacy policy is still required.
