Users can log in to mattero via their Microsoft or Google accounts; your organisation may prefer this option due to its security guidelines.

Prerequisites

• A mattero account (email and password login)
• A Google or Microsoft account with two-factor authentication enabled

Activating Authentication

To authenticate your Microsoft or Google accounts with mattero:

1. Select your profile from the top-right corner of any page in mattero, then select User Profile.

2. Select the Authentication tab, then select Link for either Microsoft or Google.

3. Follow Microsoft or Google's prompts to link your account with mattero, and agree to mattero accessing your Microsoft or Google account for authentication.
   
   
4. Once the process is complete (to test your new login details) select your profile in mattero and select Logout.

4. Select either the Microsoft or Google button to log in.

Please note, if you cannot log in with either Microsoft or Google, check your Microsoft or Google account settings, and check the access settings of your organisation to troubleshoot the issue.

Unlinking Authentication

Once you have updated your login authentication, it is also possible to unlink your existing mattero authentication (email and password login).

This is not required, and mattero can support both authentication methods simultaneously, however your organisation may prefer this option due to its security guidelines.

Further, if your mattero account has been created with an incorrect email address, you can rectify this by activating your account with the incorrect address, then linking a Microsoft or Google account to your mattero account, unlinking the incorrect email address and linking the correct email address to your mattero account.

To unlink your mattero authentication:

1. Select your profile from the top-right corner of any page in mattero, then select User Profile.

2. Select the Authentication tab, then select Unlink for mattero.

3. A confirmation window will appear, select Yes.

Please note, unlinking your mattero authentication will mean you will only be able to log in to mattero via your Microsoft or Google accounts.

Relinking Authentication

If you have unlinked your mattero authentication, it can be relinked.

To relink your mattero authentication:

1. Select your profile from the top-right corner of any page in mattero, then select User Profile.

2. Select the Authentication tab, then select Link for mattero.

3. A confirmation window will appear, select Yes.

4. Enter the email address and password associated with your mattero account, then select Continue.

Please note, you may receive an email notification informing you of the linked authentication. No further action is required.
