You can duplicate any Document saved to a Matter or Contact in mattero; for example, if you wish to have an identical Document moved to another Matter or Contact.
However, depending on your needs, you may prefer to create multiple versions of the same Document instead.
If so, view the Document Version Control article for more information.
Please note, the following process will only work on the Documents section of a Matter or Contact; you cannot duplicate a Document from the main Documents page in mattero.
Duplicating a Document
To duplicate a Document:
- In the Documents section of a Matter or Contact, select the Actions menu of a Document, then select Duplicate Document.
Please note, if you are in a Matter, you must select Documents Mode before selecting the Actions menu of a Document.
- In the window that opens, make selections as needed.
Please note, the Title field will default to the original Document's title with "Copy" added, but this can be edited.
Further, the Related To field defaults to the Matter or Contact of the original Document, but this can be edited as well.
Selecting a new Matter or Contact will save the duplicated Document to this Matter or Contact; the original Document will stay in its original location.
- When all selections are made, select Save.
